Neah found me just two weeks before her wedding in Tuscany. There was no time for a trial, so we planned her whole look over FaceTime.
Neah got in touch just two weeks before her wedding in Tuscany and asked if I was free on her date. I was.
There was no time for a trial. She’d be arriving in Tuscany only a couple of days before the wedding. So a few days later, we had a video consultation on FaceTime.
Twenty minutes on FaceTime
We talked for about 25 minutes. I asked her how she normally wears her makeup, how she wanted to see herself on the day, and whether there was anything she’d like to cover, or anything she loved and wanted to bring out.
Her answer was lovely. She was happy with the way she looks and didn’t want to change anything. She just wanted to look more wow than usual and more put together, while still looking and feeling like herself. No heavy contouring, nothing over the top. Just eyes that pop and a polished, natural finish.
She had one worry: her T-zone gets oily, and she didn’t want to look shiny in her photos. She’d even bought a special primer to absorb the oil, so we used it as the base for her makeup, and it worked beautifully.

Extra time on the morning
Because we hadn’t done a trial, I planned extra time. I usually allow three hours for bridal hair and makeup. For Neah I allowed four, so we could take it slowly and try things if we needed to.
I showed her different palettes, and she chose the colours with me, right there in the room. We built her look step by step and checked in as we went.
