Wedding in Venice

Venice has a way of making everything feel larger than life, but for Nichole and Juan’s wedding, the scale was real. There were 80 guests gathered at a historic castle, and the day was planned as a marathon of style and atmosphere.

I flew in from Costa Rica because Nichole wanted a very specific level of consistency for her day. My work started early in the morning, styling the bride, the bridesmaids, and several special guests. In a castle made of stone and history, you want a look that feels classic but doesn't get lost in the surroundings.

The most interesting part of the day was the transition. For the ceremony, the mood was soft and romantic. But as the sun went down, the bride wanted a complete shift for the evening party. We moved into a 1940s theme. It wasn't just a costume change, it was a change in energy. We switched to bolder makeup, structured hair, and a look that matched the vintage props and the dark, moody lighting of the castle interior

Seeing 80 people celebrate under the Venetian sky, moving from a traditional ceremony into a high-energy 40s party, reminded me why I do this. It’s about the logistics of the change and the confidence it gives the bride to step into a completely different version of herself for the night.

Venice is often called a dream, and Juan and Nichole’s wedding lived up to that reputation. This video captures the movement of a day that felt like it was pulled from another era, starting with the quiet morning light in the bridal suite as I prepared the bride and her bridesmaids.

The energy shifts as the film follows eighty guests, gathered from across the world, into the heart of a historic castle. You can see the deliberate transition from the soft romance of the ceremony to the bold, 1940s vintage glamour of the evening party. It was a transformation that went beyond style, it was about matching the soul of the celebration. Being there to style the bride and her guests while witnessing this community come together was a true honor.
